I grew up in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and I’m excited to bring my passion for great shoes and exceptional service to the Storm Lake community. I started my career with Brown’s in the Assistant Training Program at the Cedar Falls store and continued my training in College Station, Texas. Those experiences challenged me, shaped me, and prepared me for this next step, and I’m grateful for everyone who’s been part of that journey.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active and playing with my golden retriever puppy, Willow. I believe the right pair of shoes should help you feel confident and comfortable, and I’m committed to making every visit personal, welcoming, and enjoyable. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you find the perfect fit!

Storm Lake’s Only Sit & Fit

Brown’s Shoe Fit has been serving Storm Lake and the surrounding area since 2000. We have a lot of competition within the company, since there are several other Brown’s locations within an hour of us. Because of this, we do things a little differently.

Our store is a bit more boutique-like, with more one-off, unique styles and less of what you might find in most BSFC locations nearby. We are really trying to curate our selections to our community, and our customers are really embracing that. It’s been awesome.

We invite you to stop in, have a seat, and let us get you in the proper shoe, like the way your grandparents did, when independent shoe stores were in abundance.

At Brown’s we pride ourselves on our mix of modern and old-fashioned.  We provide service very similar to the shoe stores of the past by utilizing the tools of the trade, being friendly, and having a genuine sense of helpfulness. We want you to be comfortable, obviously in the shoes you purchase, but also in the way you feel when you come in the store. Don’t be put off when we ask you “How are you doing today?”, because we truly want to know. Don’t be shy about us measuring your feet, because a true and proper fit takes a true and proper measurement.

Quality & Quantity

At Brown’s Shoe Fit, primarily specialize in quality, name brand footwear. We are a full-service shoe store carrying a wide range of dress, casual, athletic, and seasonal footwear, along with socks, shoe care products, and insoles in a variety of sizes and widths. A lot of our customer base needs work boots, so we also carry a large selection of those for all the hard-working people who need that protective footwear. We also offer free foot analyses, with the ability to mold a pair of 100% custom insoles just for you right here in our store!

 

Community First

Storm Lake is a very diverse community, with 50% of the population speaking Spanish. One thing the Brown’s Shoe Fit Storm Lake staff are working hard on is learning Spanish so we can better serve our community. We also have one staff member who is already bilingual and having that skillset available has been a game changer. It makes us so happy to see our Spanish-speaking customers come in and get the same experience as an English speaker for possibly the first time. We’re super proud of that.
