My wife and I have 2 sons, which both live in Wichita and with their families.  We have 5 grandchildren, 4 boys and one adorable little girl. We enjoy spending time with them as they are involved in sports and music theater.

We are a very sports minded family, as we like almost all sports but have interests in football, basketball, soccer and baseball.  As those that know me and my wife, we are avid Iowa State Cyclone fans, but have adopted the Wichita State Shockers as that has some close ties to our family.  You can always find the TV turned on to most any sports channel, 11 months out of the year. We do also follow the KC Chiefs and KC Royals as well.

I have grown to love to cook, and I will try almost anything, but really enjoy cooking Italian and Southwest cuisine. The one thing that my wife and I enjoy is travelling and being foodies. Always trying a new dish or cocktail is at the top of my list.

When it comes to my career, I have grown to like a lot of footwear, but some of the most comfortable shoes I have found for everyday work have been Ecco and Pikolino dress and casual shoes.  When it comes to athletic footwear, I have grown to love my Brooks and when I do some trail walking my Hoka Speedgoats are my choice.

I am the manager of Brown’s Shoe Fit Co, Hutchinson, KS. I started my career with Brown’s in our Salina store in January of 1990, after which I transferred to my first store to manage in Norfolk, NE in September of 1991. We moved to Hutchinson in 2007, and this will be my final stop before retirement.

One thing I learned a long time ago from my father was, “Great Customer Service goes along way in building a great business.”

Our expert staff is trained to measure feet the old fashioned way, but they are also trained to use Aetrex’s foot mapping technology and the New Balance digital fit finder. With all this tech on top of the classic sit and fit experience, we can not only check your shoe size, but we can also identify problem spots and determine if your foot is flat, pronated, or has a high instep.
