I am a second-generation Brown’s Owner. I grew up in Stillwater, OK where my dad owned Brown’s Shoe Fit there. I have been selling shoes since before I could drive. After high school I played juco baseball in Coffeyville, KS.
After college I began working full time for my dad and in October of 2022, I joined the BSFC Trainee program to start working towards getting my own store. I moved to Omaha, NE in Sept of 2023 to help open the new store there and continue my training at a different store.
Learning to get a store off the ground was a tremendous opportunity I am very thankful for! My training continued at the Omaha Brown’s until I earned my own store in Centerville, IA in April of this year.

About Me:
I am currently a student at UCM, but I could see myself joing the trainee program and being a store owner someday. My favorite thing about working for Brown’s is the people and the environment. I’ve been with Brown’s for 3 years and started when I was a senior in high school. Carson goes to the gym with my mom and had mentioned he was looking for part time help. I was looking for a job at the time, so it just worked out. This job has honestly changed my life. I was really shy when I first started, and now I’m outgoing and a social butterfly.

I started at Brown’s about a year ago when I got an internship through the business program at UCM. I want to be an entrepreneur, so the management program here sounds like a great opportunity for me. My favorite thing about working here is interacting with customers. I get to socialize while I help people.

I originally started at Brown’s about 2 years ago. Carson is a family friend, and he offered me part time work when my 2 year old was a baby. I was on and off for a while when my child was younger, but I’ve been full time for a little over a year now. What’s my favorite thing about working for Brown’s? MANDY! But really, it’s the community involvement and getting to help people.
My favorite shoe is the classic Birkenstock Arizona.

I started at Brown’s over the summer as an internship for college (UCM). My teacher connected me with Carson because he was looking for a social media person. My favorite thing about working for Brown’s has to be the people, the staff. Carson creates such a great atmosphere. We have a great time.

I met Carson at the gym about two and a half years ago, and he recruited me. I’ve been with Brown’s since then. I’m a mom of two, so I appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere. My favorite thing about working for Brown’s is the people. The staff and the community are all awesome.

Community Involvement
A couple awesome things we’re doing in the community are Fit Night and Kicks for Kids. Fit Night is every third Thursday during the summer months, and encourages people to get out and moving.
Kicks for Kids is a new event that we will be doing once a quarter, where we will fit kids in our community that can’t afford shoes and provide them with quality footwear. We intend for this to be an ongoing program, and we hope to establish and retain relationships with these kids as they continue to grow.
