Fallbrook Festival Recap: Brown’s Shoe Fit Lincoln Returns for Year Four

A Windy Setup, A Record Turnout, and a Lot of Familiar Faces

Brown’s Shoe Fit Lincoln was back as a vendor at the 4th Annual Fallbrook Festival on Saturday, August 8th, and this year’s event delivered one of our best showings yet. Our team set up on August 6th, ahead of the festival, and by the time gates opened two days later, a line had already formed down the street.

Setting Up Alongside Our Neighbors

Strong winds made setup a challenge this year, but the festival’s community spirit showed up before it even started. It didn’t matter if the tent next door was someone we knew or a total stranger, all the vendors pitched in on setup day, helping to hold each other’s tents down until they could be secured.

A Turnout to Remember

Once the gates opened, the crowds followed — and so did the sales.

The Fallbrook Festival held another event at the end of May to kick off year 4 and Brown’s Shoe Fit Lincoln was a vendor then as well. When comparing the two events, our team noted:

“There was a very long line backed up before the gates even opened this time. We had a lot of people stop by the tent — did much better in sales than last time too.”

Familiar Faces, Great Stories

We also noticed a mix of familiar faces and strangers in the crowd this time around. Some of our best moments came from reconnecting with customers outside the usual store setting.

“We encountered a bunch of people who hadn’t heard of us and got to talk about the store. Even better than that, it seemed like four out of five people already knew of us and had already shopped at our store and had great experiences there.

I even saw a gal I’d sold a pair of Bondi 9s to — she had to stop and say hi and thank me again for the great shoes!

Overall, it was a very fun experience, and nice to see our customers out in a festival environment where we could chat and have fun instead of just being in the shoe store where you know they’re coming in for needs -out there, it was wants.

I saw a lot of people who were like ‘oh my gosh, I’ve been searching all over for these shoes,’ and they bought them right then and there, all while we got our name out there in the community even more.”

With four years in the books, the Fallbrook Festival has clearly earned its place as a summer staple, and Brown’s Shoe Fit Lincoln plans to be right back on that street when year five rolls around. Between the bigger crowds, the stronger sales, and the chance to reconnect with so many familiar faces, this year set a high bar — and we’re already looking forward to topping it.
