5 Years As an Owner, 8 Years As a Brown’s Family Member:
Celebrating a Milestone Anniversary for Our Salina Owner/Operator
For Taylor Weisman, owner/operator of Brown’s Shoe Fit Salina, August 2026 marked five years as a business owner. Taylor will also celebrate eight total years with Brown’s this November. Salina was not the first stop on Taylor’s ownership journey, but exactly two years after being offered ownership of his first store, Brown’s Shoe Fit Clinton, he took over in Salina — making August 7th a date he’ll never forget.
Taylor’s story is one we love sharing, because it’s a reminder of what makes Brown’s Shoe Fit Co. different: real opportunities for real people to build something of their own, backed by a company that shows up like family.
Where It Started
Taylor’s Brown’s story began in November 2018. It didn’t take him long to know this was the right fit. That passion for business — paired with a genuine care for the guest experience — set the stage for what came next: the opportunity to take the reins of the Salina store as an owner.

Five Years as an Owner
This August marks five years since Taylor was given his first ownership opportunity in Clinton, and three years since he moved to take on Brown’s Shoe Fit Salina. It’s a milestone that carries a lot of meaning — not just for the business, but for what it represents about the kind of company Brown’s is.
“I am incredibly blessed to have been given this opportunity to become a business owner. And this company has been more than just a place to work, it’s been a family to me. I am blessed to be a part of this and will continue to try to help give this same opportunity to others!”
That last line says a lot about who Taylor is — not just grateful for the opportunity, but committed to passing it forward to others who might be looking for the same path. His passion and commitment to the business he’s building is exactly what we look for in a role model for future owners.

A Wild Ride, and Just Getting Started
Ask Taylor about the last five years, and gratitude is the first thing that comes through — for the customers, for the team, and for a company that felt less like an employer and more like family from the start. Taylor posted about his milestones on Facebook, thanking his community for the opportunity to live his dream.
August 7th marks my 3 year anniversary since taking over the Salina store.
When I got here, I made a video that said this was a dream come true. I had the opportunity to take over a growing store, move closer to home, and come back to Kansas. And so far, this has exceeded my wildest dreams. This community has meant the world to me, and I have enjoyed helping every guest who graces our door.
Thank you for allowing me to serve you, Salina. I truly look forward to a long and fun career here in Salina where I can continue to work with my amazing team to bring you the top shoe shopping experience in the state of Kansas. I wouldn’t trade this opportunity for the world!
